“All You Need to Know About SOGIESC” program was organized by the Department of Student Affairs (DSA) to assist UEHer in promoting equality, preventing gender discrimination, and creating circumstances that would allow students to participate and benefit equally in all areas. This is a chance to raise awareness of the diversity in sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics (SOGISC) and to promote a secure learning environment.
DSA – UEH believes that having access to the right knowledge about SOGIESC, as well as being aware of the forms and signs of gender inequality, will help learners respond to misconceptions that have a negative impact on themselves. The program offers a discussion and companionship forum, assisting students in learning more about themselves and promoting self-love, diversity, and inclusion. Therefore, encourage students to be present and to speak up for their community.

Speaker Bio:
Eric Pham is an LGBTQ activist, co-founder, and executive director of Hanoi Queer – a young organization specializing in multi-field projects such as education, culture, safe spaces, and community connection to raise social awareness about the LGBTQ and raise the status of young LGBTQ people in Vietnam. Eric is also a communications officer at CARE International in Vietnam – an NGO working on fighting poverty and ensuring social justice, focusing on gender issues. Participating in the LGBTQ movement in particular and gender activities in general since 2013, Eric has served as the executive board of the 6+ organization, LGBT Program Assistant at iSEE, and the organizer of many LGBTQ big events and campaigns in Hanoi such as the “I Do” campaign, Hanoi Pride, BUBU Town, The Cabinets exhibition, Vietnam Queer History Month exhibition. Eric is interested in the gender intersectionality approach in the development and always promotes discourse and practice on gender diversity and inclusion.
