Recently, the Language Workshop titled “The Confidence Code: Unlocking Body Language for Impact” took place at the Nguyen Van Linh campus in a highly energetic and engaging atmosphere. More than just a typical skills-sharing session, this workshop offered students the opportunity to “decode” body language – a familiar yet powerful skill that greatly influences communication, learning, and everyday life.

The workshop began with an enthusiastic atmosphere that spread throughout the entire room
Joining and leading the workshop were two experienced speakers from Egypt: Mr. Del El Far and Mr. Ayman Massoud, both of whom have spent many years working in presentation skills training, communication, and personal development. The workshop was designed with continuous hands-on activities, allowing students not only to listen but also to interact, move around, collaborate in groups, and try out various short exercises related to body language. This blend of concise theory and dynamic practice created an exciting and highly engaging atmosphere throughout the session.

Practicing body language together under the guidance of the experts
To begin the session, Mr. Ayman Massoud shared insights on using eye contact and maintaining an open attitude when meeting someone for the first time. He skillfully incorporated humorous examples and relatable, real-life situations that students often encounter in the classroom, during presentations, or even in job interviews.
Alongside his theoretical insights, Mr. Ayman continuously encouraged students to join practical activities, such as finding a partner to practice eye contact for a few minutes, forming small groups to mirror one another’s gestures, or experimenting with different body postures to observe how their emotions and confidence levels shifted. At first, many students felt a bit hesitant or shy, but after just a few rounds of practice, the atmosphere quickly became lively and engaging.

Students formed groups to participate in the practical activities
Many students confidently volunteered to go on stage, taking part in the activities while receiving small gifts from the speakers, a cheerful encouragement for their willingness to step out of their comfort zones.

Lovely gifts were handed out during the workshop
Continuing the workshop, Mr. Del El Far guided students to explore public speaking more deeply – a skill that many students often find intimidating. With extensive experience participating in and coaching for reputable speaking platforms such as TEDx, Mr. Del went beyond theory, highlighting common challenges students usually face, such as speaking too softly, showing tense facial expressions, feeling awkward with hand gestures, avoiding eye contact, or relying too heavily on reading slides instead of engaging with the audience.

Valuable insights from speakers opened up a new perspective on body language.
Each example and scenario was vividly demonstrated on stage at times. Two speakers portrayed an unconfident speaker, while others presented themselves as an energetic presenter with a clear voice, natural gestures, and captivating eye contact. This contrast allowed students to quickly recognize where they currently stand in their own public speaking journey.

Real-life scenarios were integrated throughout the sharing session
Many students openly shared that they had previously been afraid to stand in front of a class, but after hearing the analyses and encouragement from the speakers, they felt they had gained both tools and motivation to practice. At the end of the workshop, the students voluntarily expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the practical experiences that the two speakers had offered.

Morning filled with positive energy at the workshop
Thanks to this highly practical workshop, each participant was able to unlock a bit more of their own confidence, adding valuable skills to their personal toolkit for future academic and career journeys.
