Have you ever wondered, amidst the hustle and bustle of life, if you have truly taken a moment to listen to your own feelings or dared to voice your inner thoughts? April at UEH English Zone (EZ) was where every emotion was honored, every thought was shared, and every experience became more profound. Now, let’s recall that vibrant emotional journey!

Sharing feelings, connecting thoughts through EZ club activities with BELL & SFL

One of the most memorable moments marked the first English club activity co-organized at Campus Nguyen Van Linh by BELL English Club and English Zone – The Speaking Group Extended: Savor the Flavor on April 11th. UEHers at Campus N had the chance to explore the “spice” of friendship through everyday meals, practicing English while expanding their circle of connection. At Campus  Nguyen Tri Phuong, BELL UEH brought the cozy Soulmate Sips session (April 24th), where UEHers gathered to share thoughts on cherished friendships.

Beyond just conversations, the ECOFF team from the School of Foreign Languages (SFL) and EZ co-organized the Beyond the Pages workshop (April 17th) at Campus B for Vietnam Book Day. The DIY atmosphere was filled with creativity and emotion as participants handcrafted lovely bookmarks, discussed reading culture together, exchanged thoughts and feelings about books, and received meaningful small gifts.

EZ Talks – Where every topic becomes an emotional journey

The weekly EZ Talks sessions continued to be spaces for UEHers to hone their English through diverse topics. April kicked off intriguingly with True or Lie? on April Fools’ Day, an opportunity for participants to challenge their judgment and debate the lines between truth and falsehood. Continuing the reflection on the world around us, the Wear or Waste talk engaged participants in discussing the issue of fast fashion, encouraging critical thinking about consumer choices and environmental impact.

Lively discussions and shared perspectives at EZ Talks

The journey of self-discovery was also a highlight this month with relatable themes. Zodiac Unveiled created an open space for sharing beliefs and perspectives on zodiac signs and the factors shaping personality. Meanwhile, Version You encouraged confidence in showcasing one’s unique individuality and personal colors. Notably, at Campus N, the Silver Screen session themed Who are you? presented films that touched deep emotions, sparking reflections on identity and the journey of finding oneself.

EZ Boardgames – Nights of thrilling strategic showdowns

EZ is not only a space for emotions to soar, but also a place where intellect, strategy, and courage are tested through each intense board game match. EZ Boardgames activities not only provided entertainment but also helped participants practice strategic thinking and persuasive skills in English. Alongside roaring laughter and unexpected “revivals” from Zombie Kittens, or the calculated asset accumulation race in Cover Your Assets, UEHers also experienced tense battles of wits, testing deduction and teamwork (or betrayal!) skills in The Resistance.

Fun-filled and suspenseful board game moments at EZ

The most notable highlight this month was the arrival of the new Boardgame – Saboteur. Participants got to experience the thrill of being hardworking miners or cunning saboteurs, working together (or secretly obstructing!) on the quest for treasure. The suspense, hidden roles, and unpredictable “reveals” quickly made Saboteur a focal point, offering hours of fun and engaging English practice.
