Summer is a season of new journeys, enriching experiences, and well-deserved moments of relaxation after a demanding academic year. For many UEH students, it also offers a valuable opportunity to further develop their English in an engaging and inspiring learning environment at UEH English Zone. Throughout July, a wide range of interactive activities provided participants with opportunities to practice English, build new connections, and gain fresh perspectives on life.
When Films Become a Bridge
The month of July began with EZ Talks “Movie Night”, creating an engaging space where film enthusiasts could come together to exchange thoughts on their favorite movies. From blockbuster productions and independent films to popular television series, every genre inspired lively and meaningful discussions. United by a shared appreciation for cinema, participants connected naturally with one another while practicing English in a relaxed, authentic, and collaborative learning environment.

When TikTok Becomes More Than Entertainment
Continuing the series of youth-oriented topics, the Department of Foreign Languages organized ECOFF session “Learn on TikTok”, inviting participants to explore a different side of one of today’s most popular social media platforms. From short videos featuring language-learning tips and essential soft skills to practical life hacks, participants introduced their favorite educational content and exchanged insightful perspectives on how TikTok can be used as a meaningful and effective learning tool.

Every Individual Has Their Own Color
As part of the EZ Silverscreen series, participants watched the short film Keep Your Color, which encourages viewers to embrace their individuality, express themselves with confidence, and inspire others through positive values.
The screening was followed by a meaningful discussion, where participants reflected on the film’s messages and shared their own journeys of preserving their unique “colors.” Through heartfelt conversations, they grew closer to one another, creating a space where every individual was encouraged to listen, appreciate, and celebrate the unique colors that each person brings.

Defining Success Beyond Conventional Standards
If Keep Your Color encouraged participants to embrace their individuality and stay true to themselves, the Faculty of Foreign Languages invited them to reflect on an even deeper question through EZ Talks “Define Your Success”: What does success truly mean?
Moving beyond conventional measures such as academic achievement or career accomplishments, the discussion provided participants with an opportunity to reflect on their own journeys and share their personal definitions of success. For some, success meant having the courage to pursue their passions; for others, it was about finding balance in life or continuously overcoming their own limitations. Through these meaningful exchanges, participants came to realize that success has no universal definition, it is shaped by the unique values, aspirations, and individuality of each person.

Immersed in a World of Colorful Experiences
Continuing the journey of connection and self-discovery, BELL Club introduced two signature activities: Wonder Tales and Gameniverse. While Wonder Tales invited participants to revisit the magic of childhood through fairy tales, cherished memories, and long-forgotten moments, Gameniverse opened the door to a vibrant world of games, where familiar activities became a platform for joy, creativity, and teamwork.
Through heartfelt storytelling and engaging challenges, BELL Club offered more than just moments of entertainment. Each activity created meaningful opportunities for participants to connect, preserve lasting memories, and strengthen a supportive community where every individual is encouraged to shine in their own unique way.

Challenging Every Decision
After moments of reflection, EZ Board Games: Press Your Luck brought a lively atmosphere filled with exciting choices and challenges. Each round presented participants with the same question: Should they keep taking risks to go further, or stop at the right moment to secure what they had achieved? These decisions led to unexpected comebacks, dramatic twists, and countless moments of laughter throughout the activity.
Amid the relaxed yet energetic atmosphere, participants had the opportunity to develop their English communication skills, quick thinking, and teamwork while enjoying every challenge together.

Recharging to Make the Most of Summer
Wrapping up the month of July, EZ Talks “Summer’s Fuel” offered a relaxing conversation where participants could reflect on their summer and share what had fueled and motivated them before the start of a vibrant new semester.
For each participant, “fuel” carried a different meaning. It could be a short trip, a good book, a favorite dish, or simply a newly discovered hobby. Despite their differences, these simple yet meaningful sources of inspiration reminded everyone that even the smallest moments can provide the energy to embrace new beginnings.

As July comes to a close, UEH English Zone continues to offer meaningful opportunities for participants to learn, connect, and discover themselves through a diverse range of activities.
