
On the morning of May 12, 2024, at the Nguyen Van Linh Campus, the 2024 UEH Sports officially concluded after eight weeks of exciting competitions in five sports: Futsal (women), Basketball (men and women), Table Tennis (singles, doubles, and teams), Tug of War (men, women, mixed, and open categories), and Chess.
The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy, President of the Trade Union, and Standing Deputy Head of UEH Administrative Office; Dr. Nguyen Tan Trung, Chief of Administrative Office at the School of Business – UEH; MA. Nguyen Van Duong, Standing Deputy Head of Department of Student Affairs; Dr. Bui Quang Viet, Deputy of Department of Student Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Son, Deputy Director of Center of Physical Training; MA. Phan Ngoc Danh, Deputy Head of Department of Facilities Management; MA. Nguyen Trung Tien, Secretary of the Youth Union of Vinh Long Campus; along with representatives from various UEH departments, schools, institutes, and athletes, coaches from 17 sports delegations.
UEH Sports is an annual event that provides a healthy playground, strengthens solidarity and mutual understanding among UEH students from various educational programs. It also encourages the development of sportsmanship, physical health, and a healthy sports culture among students. The event has left many good impressions, exciting competitions, and opportunities for students of all academic levels to connect, learn, and nurture their athletic talents, particularly spreading the spirit of unity within the UEH community.
The 2024 UEH Sports attracted 1,200 athletes and over 1,000 audiences from 18 units, including faculties, schools, and dormitories. With determination and dedication, nearly 500 athletes won first, second, and third prizes across five sports categories in both individual and team events.
Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy shared that “The UEH Sports always brings unforgettable emotions and memories to both students and faculty. Throughout the organization and final competitions, I observed that this year’s teams were well-prepared, from selecting athletes and engaging in practice matches to building physical fitness and following scientific training methods. As a result, the athletes’ skills have significantly improved, leading to intense competition in each event. Over the past days of competition, I have deeply felt the vibrant, joyful atmosphere and the warm camaraderie among athletes, creating a strong sense of unity beyond the classroom”.

With youthful energy, strength, and tireless effort, the 2024 UEH Sports recognized the top three outstanding units.

– Second Place Overall: Faculty of Business Administration – 816 points
– Third Place Overall: Faculty of Finance – 754 points

With outstanding performance, the Faculty of Economics claimed First Place Overall in the 2024 UEH Sports.

The 2024 UEH Sports has been successful in many aspects, from preparation, investment in upgrading and improving facilities for the competition, to health and safety measures, communication, and especially professional work.
