Preparing carefully for an interview is a vital step in any job application process. To familiarize students with the interview process and help them enhance their confidence and effectiveness in answering questions, UEH organized the “Mock Interview” event, bringing together businesses from various industries. This initiative not only provided students with valuable practice but also allowed recruiters to connect with UEH’s dynamic, creative young talent.
Featuring 13 leading companies across sectors such as Business, Economics, Law, Management, Technology, and Design—including Unilever, Masan, EY Vietnam, H&M, Sacombank, C.P. Vietnam, Hoa Sen, Saigon Co.op, YouNet, SSI, RSM, Thành Công, and VMG—the mock interviews took place on July 16-17, 2024, at UEH’s Nguyễn Tri Phương campus. The event attracted nearly 200 student participants.
Insights and Opportunities for Students
During the mock interviews, students received tailored feedback on their CVs, guidance to refine their interview techniques, and evaluations from industry professionals. This feedback helped them address weaknesses and leverage their strengths. For third- and fourth-year students, it was also a chance to impress recruiters and enhance their prospects of securing desired roles.
The sessions fostered a supportive, open atmosphere, where experts shared practical advice to help students navigate career planning and meet the demands of today’s competitive job market. Notably, several students secured job offers on the spot with top employers like Unilever, Hoa Sen, and C.P. Vietnam, embodying the event’s motto: “Mock Interview – Real Application.”

“I want to thank UEH’s Student Affairs Office and the participating businesses for organizing such a valuable event. I interviewed with H&M and found the session smooth and insightful. The HR team also provided constructive feedback on my answers and career direction.” - Lý Mỹ Linh, a fourth-year Corporate Accounting student, remarked:
“This meaningful activity allowed me to meet highly professional experts in a formal setting. The interviewers were very supportive, and the experience helped me understand what I need for the next stage of my career.” - Phạm Diễm Hương Quỳnh, a fourth-year International Business student, added:
“The feedback and experiences I gained through the interviews were invaluable. I hope UEH and DSA can organize more programs like this to benefit future cohorts.” - Trần Thanh Trà, a third-year Customs and Trade Management student, reflected:
“The session was incredibly beneficial. I was fortunate to interview with RSM, a leading company in the accounting, auditing, and tax field, which aligns with my career goals. The interviewer was friendly and provided sincere feedback on my CV and interview skills. They even gave gifts to participants, which made the experience even more enjoyable.”

Nearly 200 students joined this enriching experience.
During the mock interviews, students received personalized guidance, CV reviews, and constructive feedback on their interview responses. Experts highlighted their strengths and areas for improvement, empowering students to refine their skills and present themselves confidently. For third- and fourth-year students, the event also served as a platform to make a strong impression on recruiters, thereby enhancing their chances of securing desired positions.

Living up to its motto, “Mock Interview – Real Recruitment,” the program even resulted in some students being directly hired by top companies such as Unilever, Hoa Sen, and C.P. Vietnam. This success has provided significant motivation for students as they prepare to enter the workforce.
