As part of the regular activities at the UEH English Zone, the Department of Student Affairs (DSA) organized the language workshop “Lunar Landing Excellence: A Teamwork Workshop” on October 16 with the participation of Dr. Frances McGregor – Senior Lecturer at Huddersfield Business School.

The importance of teamwork abilities has increased recently across all contexts. Because solving problems as a team enables people with various perspectives, knowledge, and skills. This diversity inspires original, multifaceted ideas that empower the team to develop more focused and efficient solutions. However, working in teams or groups may only be completely effective if the participants have the necessary skills.
By bringing teams and groups into this discussion, Dr. McGregor has provided UEH students with valuable and priceless knowledge about teamwork skills. She asserts that each team member must be able to use hard and soft skills when working in groups. In particular, they should be able to integrate hard skills like time management, listening, and critical thinking with their knowledge and abilities. The capacity of a team to equally divide and distribute tasks so that each individual can exert their best effort and produce the best results.
Teamwork skills divide and assign tasks appropriately, maximize member abilities, and achieve the best productivity.
Despite completely random group formation, the students were able to complete the challenge in a short period of time with high accuracy and excellent results. The discussion went smoothly and generated a lot of interest among the attendees. Even though the event lasted only two hours, Dr. McGregor instilled knowledge in UEH students while fostering a positive and energizing environment.
By combining in-person and online platforms, UEH English Zone was able to fortify connections and increase opportunities for the learners to develop skills.
