New Year, New Beginning At UEH English Zone

The first month of 2024 has come to an end. Despite busy preparations for the New Year and completion of personal projects, our lovely participants enthusiastically joined us at UEH English Zone, opening a wonderful 2024 of EZ. Let’s look back on some exhilarating sessions at EZ during this January!

Positive energy for the beginning

When a new year knocks on your door, it’s time we reviewed what we have experienced since a year ago. Therefore, last January 19th, UEH School of Foreign Language and UEH EZ hosted the Coffee Talk #34: New Year’s Eve Party as a year-end party for our UEH students. We all had a chance to reflect and share our interesting and valuable moments of 2023.

Besides a cosy “party”, UEH English Zone collaborated with BELL English Club to charge new energy for participants with Speaking Group Extended – Vitamin U. In an event full of positive energy, we hope this would make a wonderful beginning for all of us, UEHers, to a new year with joy and laughter.

New year – New me – New skill

Not only year review, but new goals and plans are also essential things to set for the beginning of a year. On January 2nd, the first EZ Talk of 2024 was held, with the topic of “Lunar New You”. UEH EZ did “eavesdrop” on many interesting stories and great dream plans from the students. We hope you will always keep your enthusiasts and achieve your goals!

UEH EZ believes that nothing is more fantastic than learning a new skill at the beginning of a new year. On January 16th, we started a “tutorial” session on the Braille alphabet – the letters for blind people. Joining this Talk, our participants not only learned to use Braille words but also had a chance to understand and empathize with less fortunate lives.

This month, we want to open a year with a simple and familiar EZ Boardgame which is Monsdrawsity with the view to bonding and relaxing. Excitingly, a new boardgame is also introduced in January at EZ, named The Resistance, including mindtricking debates and fightings between two parties, the Resistance and the Spies. With different shades of boardgames, we definitely had memorable moments and thrilling game rounds together.
