This past May, UEH English Zone once again became a bustling meeting point with a diverse and colorful series of activities. UEH English Zone, along with BELL CLUB and the School of Foreign Language (SFL), has brought an ideal space for UEHers to practice English and find joy after stressful study hours.
Emotion-touching events at UEH English Zone
May at UEH English Zone began with currents of profound and inspiring emotions. From the “Heroes” topic that touched the heart with heroic figures and the journey of living courageously, to the warm atmosphere of the “Mama” DIY event on Mother’s Day, where beautiful crystal bracelets were made in the Binh Chanh little castle. Continuing the train of thought, while “When the moon rises” was an invitation to feel the magic of the night, evoking creative inspiration, the event “Fearful-less” encourages everyone to overcome fear and discover a better version of themselves. And then, the “What if…” story opened up a space full of hypothetical nature, where UEHers explored fascinating questions about the butterfly effect, the multiverse, and the endless possibilities of life. The activity was flexibly organized both in-person at B2 Park, Nguyen Van Linh, and on the Kumospace online platform to suit the UEHers who were busy with exams yet still wished to practice their English skills.

EZ Boardgames: A May Full of Strategic Challenges and Laughter
No less bustling, the brain-balancing board game sessions challenged the strategic thinking of UEHers. The return of Saboteur took players into tangled tunnels, stimulating the ability to deduce and persuade. Meanwhile, Avalon was a “super brain-hacking” battle of wits with secret identities, along with the return after a long time of CLUE, testing the skills of UEH detectives with classic cases, requiring observation and “brain-hurting” deduction.
Besides intellectual challenges, May also brought refreshing entertainment moments with party board games such as “Boom boom meow”, a combination of Exploding Kittens and UNO that made the whole room explode with laughter through unexpected game-turning phases.
English activities of May at English Zone had the debut of the new board game set: Unstable Unicorns with a new version, a novel gameplay style full of audacity and humor that brought a promising breeze for refreshing laughter through “secret” cards and endless “game-spoiling” acts.

“Growing up” with English
Accompanying UEH English Zone, SFL also brought a meaningful intellectual highlight in May. ECOFF event episode 57 named: “MENGLISH” is SFL’s first event at UEH Nguyen Van Linh Campus. On the occasion of the English Language Day, UEH students had the opportunity to contemplate together and share their journey with English. This section has helped UEHers to improve English communication skills, critical thinking while meeting new friends.

For the melodies to forever resonate
This May’s activities could not be completed without the presence of the BELL CLUB, bringing music closer to the UEH community through the event: “THE BEAT GOES ON”. To “unfreeze” after-holiday atmosphere, the band from the BELL CLUB invited everyone to immerse themselves in an extremely chill concert, interact and upgrade their English proficiency with “dedicated fans”, and sway together to the resounding rhythms of immortal songs.
