This past September, UEH English Zone (EZ) remained a bustling hub where students across all programs practiced English, met new friends, and unwound after intense classes. Let’s look back at the most memorable highlights of the month, and don’t forget to stay tuned for what’s coming next!

Self-Discovery and Emotional Reflection

September marks fresh beginnings, especially as the K52 freshmen officially joined the UEH family. The month kicked off with a reflective space at EZ Talks: Leave It All Behind, where participants set aside their daily hustle to find inner peace and outline goals for the journey ahead. Building on that momentum, EZ Talks: Adolescence Spiral and Break the Loop served as mental recharge stations—offering a safe space to open up about life’s uncertainties, break bad habits, and pursue personal growth.

A Creative Haven for Craft Lovers

Beyond intimate talk sessions, September brought a refreshing hands-on spark with EZ DIY: The Bracelet Bar. The zone transformed into a vibrant mini craft workshop where students handpicked beads, mixed colors, and strung together unique, personalized bracelets. Crafting something special to wear or gift to friends—paired with warm, casual conversations—made for a truly relaxing and bonding experience.

Adding to the hands-on fun was a creative session with colorful clay. Students freely sculpted quirky decor items, expressing their personalities through playful shapes while enjoying a cozy, laid-back English chat.

Diving into the World of Cinema

A great movie doesn’t end when the credits roll; that’s usually when the real reflection begins. At Speaking Group Extended: Movie Seen—a co-hosted event by BELL Club and UEH English Zone where students stepped into a unique cinematic atmosphere. The room fell quiet as everyone dissected plot twists, decoded hidden details behind each frame, and shared multi-dimensional perspectives on the film’s deeper messages. Through lively and open discussions in English, participants sharpened their spontaneous speaking skills while connecting deeply with fellow movie lovers.

Shifting Perspectives with ECOFF x EZ

Parallel to daily language activities, the ECOFF x EZ series remained a favorite spot for sharing real-life stories and building critical thinking skills through diverse topics. A major highlight in September was the traditional Tò He (rice-dough figurine) workshop, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival spirit. It offered a soothing escape as students molded bright dough into familiar childhood figures like Moon Boy (Chú Cuội), the Moon Goddess (Chị Hằng), or colorful lanterns.

In another lighthearted session, students embraced their unfiltered, awkward selves through “To be cringe is to be free,” sharing hilarious embarrassing stories and laughing their stress away.

High-Energy Board Game Showdowns

EZ Board Games remains a signature favorite among UEH students. September featured an exciting lineup of games, from the tense deduction of Who Am I – Clue to race-against-the-clock moments in Panic Attack – Virus. Cover Your Assets added strategic rivalry, challenging players to build and protect their wealth from sneaky opponents. Who showed true business acumen to become the fastest millionaire? Classics like Taco Cat, Hungry Monkeys, and Coup also drew huge crowds. Beyond pure fun, board games provide a great arena for tactical thinking and natural English reflexes, making every match an unforgettable memory filled with laughter.

September’s lineup wasn’t just about language practice – it was a space to spark creativity and build lasting connections. From deep discussions and crafty DIYs to interactive game nights, every moment contributed to a meaningful journey.
