On the afternoon of August 14, 2026, at Lecture Hall B1.205, UEH Nguyen Tri Phuong campus, the Student Care Department hosted “Physical and Mental Wellness Through Yoga and Meditation”, welcoming a large number of learners across all programs.

Learners across all programs gather for “Physical and Mental Wellness Through Yoga and Meditation”

The session was guided by Ms. Maisie Huynh, a Master Expert-level Yoga instructor certified with 500 RYT hours by Yoga Alliance US, a sound-bowl therapist certified by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPMH), and a national referee of the Vietnam Yoga Federation, together with experienced instructors and experts in health care, Yoga, and meditation.

Meditation – A Needed Pause Amid the Rhythm of Study and Work

More than a single practice session, the program was an invitation for learners to step away from the demands of study and work and spend time listening to their own bodies and minds. Under Ms. Maisie Huynh’s guidance, participants experienced meditation techniques combined with therapeutic sound-bowl healing, cultivating mindfulness, sharpening focus, managing stress, and restoring balance between body and mind.

In a warm and quiet space, each slow breath and movement gave participants a rare chance to reconnect with themselves – something not easily found amid the packed schedules of learners who study while working. Many shared that it was the first time in a long while they had truly paused to feel their own body and emotions after a demanding week.

A Building Block in the UEH Wellbeing – Flourishing University Ecosystem

The activity is part of the ongoing series of student-care programs regularly organized by the Department of Student Affairs, and also a concrete touchpoint of UEH Wellbeing – Flourishing University – one of 10 flagship initiatives under the UEH Development Strategy for 2025-2030, officially launched in 2026 under the guiding message “Growing Well Together”.

“Physical and Mental Wellness Through Meditation” is a hands-on expression of Focus & Resilience – nurturing a positive, focused, and resilient mindset. Through practical, down-to-earth activities like this one, UEH hopes to gradually weave the values of health, balance, and happiness into the everyday culture and experience of every learner – empowering each UEHer to take an active role in caring for themselves and building a healthier, more positive learning journey.
