Aiming to equip UEH students with the necessary skills and mindset to adapt to the impacts of artificial intelligence, the Department of Student Affairs (DSA) organized the workshop “From Field of Study to Career: Shaping Future Careers in the AI Era” on August 11, 2026, at Hall B1.302, UEH Nguyen Tri Phuong Campus.
The event featured Master Ho Thi Xuan Huy, Co-founder of SAIGONGIVE and journalist, an experienced speaker in social sciences, communications, and education. With practical perspectives and diverse professional stories, she delivered an inspiring session, helping students gain a clearer view of the journey from their field of study to a long-term career in the digital age.

Opening the program, Ms. Xuan Huy raised thought-provoking questions to help participants reflect on three core concepts: field of study, job, and career. She emphasized that a field of study provides foundational knowledge, a job is the specific work done daily, and a career is a long-term journey marked by personal values and achievements built over time. As AI reshapes operational models across all sectors, clearly distinguishing these concepts enables young people to take a proactive approach to their future paths.

Students actively engaged in a lively discussion with the speaker.
In addition, the speaker conducted an in-depth analysis of AI application capabilities, an increasingly essential requirement across all professions. Rather than fearing AI replacement, Ms. Xuan Huy encouraged students to view AI as an effective assistant that enhances productivity and unleashes creativity. Critical thinking, the ability to ask the right questions, and skills in leveraging AI tools effectively will serve as major competitive advantages in today’s job market.
