To communicate effectively in English, having a large vocabulary is one of the prerequisites. However, accumulating vocabulary is always challenging; linking information together will make it easier for the brain to remember the language for a long time.
Vocabulary is the foundation for developing other skills, the richer the vocabulary, the more effective it will be in developing and perfecting basic skills. With a diverse vocabulary, the conveyed content can be easily understood, and the listening and speaking process is becoming more and more fluent and fluent.
Understanding that importance, on December 30, 2022, UEH English Zone and the School of Foreign Languages brought a workshop with the topic “Rapid Vocabulary Acquisition” within the framework of periodic activities Language Workshop with the participation of Mr. Donald Hobbs.
Coming to the Language Workshop at UEH English Zone, Mr. Donald Hobbs shared many valuable tips and experiences for learners, helping attendees have more directions to develop and build a diverse vocabulary, such as finding connections between “phrases” in a difficult word, sources to get language, ways to familiarize yourself with difficult terms, etc.
In addition, the speaker also shared about the mistakes and problems that learners easily encounter when conquering English and applying vocabulary in conversations and essays so that they like it. appropriate, in the right context.

The seminar took place successfully and received much attention from passionate learners who wanted to conquer English at UEH. During the 2 hours, the learners absorbed and learned useful knowledge from the speaker. Workshop “Rapid Vocabulary Acquisition” has helped UEHers be more open when discussing the problem in their English vocabulary – which is a very difficult problem to swallow. In the online format, attendees had the opportunity to directly ask questions of the speaker and receive direct answers, helping to expand the opportunities for learners to learn and improve English at UEH.
